Reservations required, suggested donation: $5
PROJECTS GO FROM 9 AM UNTIL MID-AFTERNOON
LUNCH IS PROVIDED AT ALL WORK SITES
Childcare available with reservation. Please send a sack lunch with your child.
PROJECT LIST
EASTER BASKETS FOR HOMEBOUND AND STUDENTS: (Coordinator: April Lopez)
Task: Family friendly! Stuff and deliver Easter bags to 30 homebound church members as well as stuffing lots of eggs for TJC Wesley House and Bonner Elementary.
SERVICE SATURDAY LAWN CREW (Coordinators: Steve Thompson, Jeff Denson)
Task: Do single home yard cleanup. Several sites around town.
TYLER DAY NURSERY (Coordinator: Stacey Hirt Phillips)
Task: Organize and declutter several storage closets as well as some landscaping. Bring your garden tools and gloves.
MARVIN MENDERS PROJECT: PLAYGROUND REVITALIZATION AT ST. PAUL’S METHODIST CHURCH (Coordinator: Alan Wilkerson and Holly Hollenshead)
Task: Assemble new playground tower. There will be some landscaping as well. This project is limited to Marvin Menders.
HUNGER FOR LOVE AND HOMELESS KITS (Coordinators: Mary Davis, Suzanne Myers)
Task: Serve breakfast, worship and fellowship with area homeless group. Afterwards, meet at Marvin for lunch and to assemble care kits for use in our homeless ministries. Requires some help on Friday to prep the meal sacks.
TIE BLANKETS AND CARD FACTORY (Coordinators: Leigh Ann Taylor)
Task: Tie blankets for use in our homeless, border, and children’s missions; create greeting cards for our church ministries
SEWING BRIGADE: PREP WORK FOR MISSION WEEK QUILT (Coordinator: Mary Beth Dawes)
Task: Make plans for the 2024 quilt which will be auctioned-off during Mission Week.
SWEETS FOR THE SOUL (Coordinators: Maria Lopez)
Task: Family friendly! Come bake homemade cookies and deliver to area Tyler fire stations.
WATER @ PARKS (Coordinators: Alicia Manfrin)
Task: Family friendly! Assemble labels on water bottles and distribute them at local parks.
SUPPORT SERVICES: ERRAND RUNNERS, LUNCH CREW, PHOTOGRAPHY, ROOM SET UP
Tasks: Run errands, assemble and deliver lunches, take photos, room set up/tear down
